Efrem Schwalb is a founding Partner of Koffsky Schwalb
LLC. He has more than 20 years of litigation experience representing domestic and international clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts and alternate dispute forums in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters. His cases have involved diverse areas of law, including: real estate, construction and foreclosure, bankruptcy, fraud, securities, breach of contract, business divorce, labor and employment, negligence and other tortious conduct, intellectual property, professional liability, antitrust, matrimonial, personal injury, and trusts and estates.
Efrem has represented a broad array of institutional
and individual clients including lenders, developers, private equity,
bankruptcy trustees, creditor’s committees, receivers, manufacturers,
investors, corporate executives and directors, start-up businesses,
professionals, and other individuals.
Industries that he has serviced include: financial, internet and
telecommunications, real estate, energy, healthcare, agriculture, and consumer
goods.
Efrem's decades of experience enable him to provide practical, business oriented legal advice to resolve disputes whether by settlement, motion or at trial.
Efrem also represents lenders, borrowers and investors in a variety of real estate transactions, including financing, acquisition and sale, and leasing transactions.
Efrem sits on the board of a number of philanthropic and educational institutions and has frequently volunteered pro bono legal services to non-profit institutions and individuals in need.
Efrem is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Prior to founding Koffsky Schwalb LLC, Efrem worked at the international law firm Kaye Scholer LLP where he practiced for over 20 years.
